Registration is still open for the Cooperative Lakes Monitoring Program (CLMP) trainings on Thursday, April 28th, at the Michigan Inland Lakes Convention at the Boyne Mountain Resort in Boyne Falls, MI.
All CLMP participants enrolled in a monitoring parameter in which they have not previously participated should try to join us for this training. And, depending on the type of monitoring you will be conducting, this training may be required for your participation in the program. These trainings are also open to any lake monitors who would like to learn these methods or are interested in a refresher. Pre-registration is required to attend these sessions (see: http://www.mymlsa.org/2016-clmp-training). Please contact Jean Roth (email@example.com, 989-257-3715) with any questions.
For those CLMP participants who are unable to attend the in-person trainings, MiCorps is offering an alternate CLMP Training Webinar on Tuesday, May 3, from 6-8 PM, for four of the 2016 CLMP monitoring parameters:
- Secchi Disk Transparency,
- Spring and Summer Total Phosphorus,
- Chlorophyll-a, and
- Score the Shore.
The training session will cover Secchi Disk Transparency and Phosphorus from roughly 6-6:40 PM, Chlorophyll-a from 6:40-7:20 PM, and Score the Shore from 7:20-7:50 PM, with time for any remaining questions at the end. You may join the webinar at any point during the session.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. Be sure to review your system requirements prior to the start of the webinar.
Please contact Paul Steen (Huron River Watershed Council) or Laura Kaminski (Great Lakes Commission) with any questions. Additional training resources (videos / training presentations and fact sheets) are also available from the website.
