We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for two opportunities for Cooperative Lakes Monitoring Program (CLMP) training being offered in 2019.

The first CLMP training is being offered on Friday-Saturday, May 3-4, in conjunction with the Michigan Lake Stewardship Associations (MLSA) Annual Conference at the Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville, MI. Please see https://www.mymlsa.org/ or https://micorps.net/events/2019-clmp-training/ for more information and contact Jean Roth ([email protected], 989-257-3715) with any questions.

MiCorps staff will also be offering a second official CLMP training session in the western Upper Peninsula on Wednesday May 8, 2019. More information on this opportunity is available at https://micorps.net/events/2019-clmp-training-up, and we ask that you RSVP prior to April 29th if you wish to attend.

All CLMP participants enrolled in a monitoring parameter in which they have not previously participated should try to join us for one of these trainings. And, depending on the type of monitoring you will be conducting, this training may be required for your participation in the program. These trainings are also open to any residents who are potentially interested in joining the CLMP to monitor their lakes, as well as current lake monitors may be interested in a refresher. Pre-registration is required to attend these sessions.

Both of these trainings are free; however, lodging, transportation, meals (aside from the lunch offered at the May 8 UP training), and participation in any additional MLSA Annual Conference sessions on May 3-4 are the responsibility of each attendee.
