This webinar will focus on the process through which people can submit requests to have Michigan DEQ Water Resources Division (WRD) consider conducting various types of water quality related monitoring in a particular water body (e.g., stream, river, pond, lake). Background will be provided on the common types of monitoring the WRD performs and the DEQ WRD’s five-year rotating watershed prioritization system. An overview of how to submit a monitoring request will be provided followed by a question and answer period. The request process is open to anyone including municipal, state, or federal staff; conservation or other nonprofit organizations; and the general public.
