Stream Training

Each year in June or July, MiCorps holds a training workshop for Volunteer Stream Monitoring Program grant recipients. If space permits, the training may be opened up to other interested participants.

The 2016 workshop on stream monitoring methods for the Aquatic Macroinvertebrate Survey projects was held on June 20th and hosted by the Muskegon River Watershed Assembly. Topics covered included: aquatic macroinvertebrate sampling and identification, stream habitat analysis, field protocols, and volunteer and event management.
